BKO: The University of Reading
The UK is currently enjoying a heatwave. Over the weekend temperatures climbed to 10C warmer than average for this time of year. It was hot when I set off from home, on Saturday morning, to run up to an orienteering event taking place at the University of Reading – i.e at the place where I work.
I had a reasonable run around the course, but the GPS route is not that accurate. Particularly, I did not run straight through, or over, the buildings as it suggests! I guess it goes to show how much more accurate GPS would have to be before we could use it as a definitive record of an where an orienteer went.
I did not run flat out and made a stupid mistake in the forest area to the east of the campus. Possibly I should have been concentrating a little more on where I was going.
