Basingstoke parkrun
I had not been intended to go to Basingstoke this morning but I woke up early and decided last minute to make the trip. When I set off from home it was fairly chilly, but the sun soon got to work and by the time I arrived it was nice temperature.
I took the first km fairly fast, sub4 mins, and then backed off the pace. I am running the Reading Half Marathon next week and did not want to leave my legs feeling dead at the beginning of the week. I finished in a pleasing 21:19 – not running flat out but still within a minute of my PB.
After we went and had coffee. With the weather being so good we sat outside talking for a good while.
