My Job
I rarely mention my work here, but decided to change that and show a recently produced image.
I am currently working on modelling wind flow and dispersion in urban areas. This research is for the Boundary Layer Meteorology group, which is in the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading.
The image in this post is from a recent experiment, modelling scalar transport.
(And thanks to the hard work of those that allows me to produce such images!)

Nice picture, but would it not look better in 3D ?
Ronan
Yes. Maybe we will get to that soon.
oooo ..Now i know what your work is about … if i ignore the terms modelling and the mathematics i understand it very well ..it includes wind and urban areas
Keep it up!
Thanks:)
Wow! You’re weather man!
It’s v. pretty.
That image will not help you tell the weather!
And what will the model be used for? I’m used to hydrologic models here.
We are using the model to track the dispersion of a pollutant through a domain. In the particular case shown we are validating against known experimental data.
That is awesome. I’m not entirely sure what it means, but it’s beautiful.
Thanks. We are analysing the data at the moment to answer such questions.
